The limit of our sketch is 10 minutes only. We have 3 parts that must be presented in time. Few days before our presentation,
we held a meeting to discuss what we have to do during the sketch and what role we will be acting. Everyone of us were present during the meeting.
Unfortunately, at the presentation day, Syawal have an urgent scholarship interview. So we have to play his role and lucky enough,
everything went well. Our sketch presentation ended up with successful.
Part 1 - The Japanese Occupation
During the Japanese occupation in Malay Ground, many civilian had died due to the killings from the Japanese Soldiers.
Then, the Sultan found out that these matters is too much and he gathered all the men from different races to unite n stay together.
After the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese surrendered and finally, the civilian is no longer in treat from the Japanese and their happy life returns again.
Part 2 - The Communist Intermission
When Malaya was declared in Emergency state, the Malayan Communist Party started a riot and killed innocent people.
Then, the British imperial commissioner ask all civilian to gather and unite so that they can protect themselves from being harmed.
After 14 days, British overpowered the communist. The communist then surrendered to the British army and some ran away to Thailand.
Part 3 - The Malayan Union
British planned Malayan Union in Malaya in 1960. British asked the Sultans to sign the letter of agreement.
Some ministers did not agree with the plan, they sent the letters to the Great Britain which ends up being ignored.
Dato' Onn Jaffar, strongly disagree with the plan as malay rights in the country is no longer in control and
he asked the Sultans to object the plan. He then asked the malay civilians to object together with him and made a protest.
Finally, after British got pressured from the civilians, they dissolute the Malayan Union plan. Then, UMNO is formed with the unity of the citizens.
The main point in our presentation is unity. With unity, we can have a peaceful and happy life.
